While I agree with many points – e.g., advertising is not a science and I’ve yet to see solid evidence that advertising on social media sites, particularly FB, really works – as a new small business owner, I wonder if it is worth the effort to build a company page on FB (I’m doubting it at the moment). I have enjoyed connecting with a few “real” friends from my past. And I value the ability to be updated and to update others via “shares” on what’s happening in at least one organization I’m involved with in East Africa.

Great post. Your quote of Jim Elliot’s most famous saying reminded me of a great new book I read a while back – “JIM ELLIOT: A Christian Martyr Speaks to You” by Russell. It really helps the reader understand the mind and the commitment of this Christian historical figure.
